Hi everyone, I know its been a while since I have posted any news. I am working on a great new website which we can all contribute too, so thankyou for your patience. The new date for the Quit Kids On Quads Funday and Campout is the 25th - 26th May, everyone who replied to my email about dates picked this date so it is perfect. I have had lots of parents put up their hands to help, thankyou very much! Remember registration for this event is compulsory because we have to make sure every child is catered for in the activities and for the prizes. We dont want any kids to miss out and we dont want to have to turn kids away on the day, So please please please register your children. You can now pay before you come via paypal for events, this will help us with catering also. We hope to see you soon!
QUIT WOODY 200 29-30th June - Updated 26/04/2013
We decided to change it up a bit this year and see how it goes. Instead of a full pony we are having an enduro weekend. 5 laps on saturday then 5 laps on sunday. The classes will be by capacity with one pony class for those that still want to team up with a buddy. Following the days racing we will be having a side by side exhibition ride for 2 hours. We have a couple of bands that have volunteered to come up for the weekend, more details will follow. It is compulsory to pre-register and pay for this event, if we do not get enough numbers register it won't go ahead. There will be a penalty payment for those that dont register and pay before the 15th June, and a further penalty for those that rock up on the day to pay. You can pay via the paypal link on the right side bar of the website. The full details for this event are on the events page and dont forget to register here.
QUIT SUNDOWN SUPER X RACE 3 9TH FEB - Updated 06/02/2013
Don't forget to get those registrations in for the Quit Sundown Super X this weekend. I will be sending those progams to print at about 2:00 today so you need to gett them in asap if you want to be included on the program. Also dont forget that the price for admission has gone up this year to $60 members and $30 non-members. If you bring a flaggie you get half price admission. Also it was decided at the last meeting that the busy bee vouchers will not be redeemable for flagging, because we really need the help on busy bee days and need to get those members down there.
BUSY BEE - Updated 06/02/2013
Thankyou to those members who turned up to the busy bee on the weekend. Even though we had to shut it down because of the heat & fire risk. Unfortunately we didn't get as much doen as we had hoped but great effort to everyone that showed up. The partitions in the showers didn't get finished so we'll only have one shower and wont be able to open it to everyone. If there is anyone with skill in partitioning that might be able to come up and help us finish the showers, it would be greatly appreciated.
NEW VICE PRESIDENT - Updated 06/02/2013
We would like to thank our new Vice President for stepping up to the role. Craig Davies has been around the club since its beginning and has had a fundamental role in it's development. He is also one of our life members, so we welocome him into the position. Just so you know who he is, here's a ahot of him helping at the busy bee.... well maybe not helping exactly, .... moral support... definatley!

BUSY BEE 3rd Feb - Updated 18/01/2013
There will be a busy be at the track on the 3rd of February, this is a good oportunity to get one of your busy bee fee's back, and to help us get ready for the Quit Sundown Super X on the 9th February. We need to install a speaker system, make some adjustments to the retic, put up some new signage and attempt to install some showers (any plumbers and people experienced with partitions or carpentry would be very useful this weekend). We welcome and look forward to meeting our new members, it looks like being a great year!
COME TRY DAY - Updated 18/01/13
Mel will be heading up the the track for a while each day on the Australia day long weekend. If you want to purchase a day membership for $20 and come and have a try of the track, you are welcome to do so. Memberships will be avaliable for purchase on the weekend too. We have got the new keys for the 2013 membership year now so new members can expect their keys in the mail this week or at the track on the Australia day weekend if memberships are purchased.
TRACK CLOSED 19TH - 20TH JANUARY - Updated 18/01/13
The track manager/President will have his machinery up at the track this weekend to get the super x track ready for the next event. Afew people from the commkittee will be up there doing some maintanence and retic. The track will be changed again for the next Quit Sundown Super X, so it is important that the works be started this weekend.
MERRY XMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR
We hope that everyone had a great Christmas and New Years. I know we didn't update the website with photos and results from the last Quit Sundown Super X straight away, but we were all trying to enjoy a well deserved rest. But now we're back in action and looking forward to planning the next year of exciting events for everyone. The new committee will be meetin next week to discuss dates for the events in 2013. We still have a vacant position of Vice president so if anyone would be willing to step up and support the club in a more official manner please let us know and come along to the next meeting.
The new Key for 2012 will be changed over on or near the 1st of february 2013. Memberships for 2013 are now avaliable so please get your registrations in ASAP if you want your key before the changover. I have updated the paypal payment method to include the new busy bee fee's for this year. I have also updated lots fo things on the website like your new committee, photos from the Sundown Super X, the 2013 membership form etc, so have a browse. I'll be making more changes over the coming weeks to keep you informed about this year. If you have any queries please dont hesitate to contact Melissa Cox 0402219292 or webmaster@atvwa.com.

QUIT SUNDOWN SUPER X R1 - Updates 12/22/2012
Well done to all the participants that came along to ride in the event on Saturday. Thankyou to all the people who made the event happen behind the scene's, also thankyou to our Major sponsor Healthway. The event was excellent, we had a sprinkling of rain towards the end of the event but nothing to bad, just enough to keep the track damp. We had a trial of a 2 wheel class this time around to raise some money for the club and to see how the track would hold up. By all accounts the track held up well and the 2 wheel riders enjoyed had fun. The riders in this class were by invitation only, and we will let them come again next time. For the results please go to the results page, and check back soon for the photo's.
QUIT SUNDOWN SUPER X SAT NOVEMBER 10 - Updated 3/11/2012
It's that time of year again, and we're pumped up and ready to start this season of the Quit Sundown Super X. It's a great night out and lots of fun. So guys and girls, young and old come and join in the fun. Murphy has been hard at it getting the track ready and we have made some extra additions to the facilities adding in some permanent lighting. The weather should be fine by the weekend, so mums and dads bring the kids let them race their little 50cc & 90cc bikes then campout and enjoy the atmoshpere. Thanbks to all the volunteers who have helped out over the last few weekend to get the track ready for the season. Dont forget to register to secure your spot registered riders get priotity. For more information and to register please check out the events page.
MORE HELP NEEDED - Updated 22/10/2012
We got alot done this weekend at the busy bee but there is still a lot to do until the club is ready for the super x in just 3 weekends. If you are an electrician and can help out this weekend we could use the help. We have to lay the conduit and wiring in the trenches that were dug so that we can pour the concrete into the 44 gallon drums which will be used for the footings for the new light poles. We will also have to erect & test the lights once the concrete is set. We also have to connect the new retic pump and then test the sprinklers and adjust them to suit the track. It is important that the conduit be laid and the concrete poured and the retic ready so that we still have one more weekend to put up the lights and also so that the retic can be run to settle in the new track. Please don't just read over this and think oh some one else will do it. We need YOU!.... Please :) You have 2 weekends to choose from please come and help us.
BUSY BEE 20-21ST OCTOBER - Updated 22/10/2012
Thankyou to all the members that showed up to help out over ther weekend:
-Michael Murphy our track manager with his friend who operated and provided 3 loaders, 1 pozzie track, 1 mini excavator. The amount of work and effort put into the club by Murph is crazy. Without Murph there would be no Super X
-Craig Davies our life members who has been there for the club for many years
-Clive Scannell who bought up some nandos for dinner on saturday.
-Stephen Ireland who replaced all of the 80 super x sprinkler heads. Top effort Stephen thankyou!
-Wayne, Matthew and Sherrie Wynne who were instumental in getting the lights onto the poles and wiring them up, installing the other spotties around the club, putting in a new control box and Sherrie even wipper snipped the whole grassed are because we didn't have a lawn mower. This family comes every time without fail and have been essential to the work that has been done.
-Grumpy Griffiths was on the mini excavator digging the trenches required for the cableing of the new lights and generally always there to help out anyone that needs it. Thankyou Grumpy!
-Mike Alfrey helped to get the new lights ready for installation and again has always been there to help the club out when needed.
-Lee lough helped with the new lights also getting them wired up and ready for installation. Another member willing to put in a days work for the club, thanks again Lee we need more member like you!
-Eric Cromb came up on sunday and wired up the timing hut, now we have power, aircon and lights to the timing hut thanks to Eric. Eric is one of our newest members (but was a member from years ago) and it's great to see a member put their hand up to help even when only a recent member. Thankyou so much Eric for your support!
-My husband Troy Cox and I also were there to help with the lights and feed al the volunteers with bacon & egg burgers for breakfast and burgers with the lot for lunch.
I hope i haven't missed anyone, but thankyou to everyone who has been a part of bringing the club forward. We look forward to seeing some more of the new faces this year come down to help out. Have a look at some photo's from the weekend click here
NEW GOLD MEMBERSHIPS - Updated 15/10/2012
The committee has been discussing ways to get our members to help us out more at the track. Obviously there are lots of ways we could do it, by getting members to pay a busy bee fee etc.. But we thought it might be worth a go trying to reward those who do show up everytime without fail and help with every event and busy bee. So we have come up with a new Membership, a gold membership, this is something your earn through your committment to the club not by paying money. These memberships are free memberships. The details will be thought through some more, however we have already chosen 3 members who will get Gold memberships next year for all the effort and time they have put into the club this year. They are Grumpy Griffiths and father and son team Matthew and Wayne Wynne. Thankyou guys for all your help this year.
BUSY BEE 20-21st October
With the Quit Super X season about to commence the committee had to make the tough decission to cancel the last Quit Pony Express, because we didn't have enough volunteers to run the event. We also have quite a bit of work to do up at the track to get the track ready for the coming Quit Super X. We are going to hold a busy bee on the weekend of the 20th October. The detailos are as follows:
-Bust Bee from 12:00 Saturday - Sunday
-We will have a ride on Sundary afternoon.
-We want to try and make a night of it, get the members to come along and help have free bbq and drinks socialize campout and have some fun, bring the kids, the kids track will be open. We need more help to be able to run the Quit Super X events successfully, so we really want to get to know our members and we hope that the members will be willing to help out the club. We don't want to be cancelling any more events.
Tasks to be completed at teh busy bee:
-All sprinkler heads need to be checked and un blocked.
-We have a new pump (courtesy of Murph) which will need to be connected to the existing retic system. If you are experienced in plumbing your services would be very much appreciated.
-We have a new traffic light system for the start grid which needs to be installed.
-The timing shed needs to be connected to the generator. If you are an electrician your help would be appreciated.
-We have a new PA system that needs to be installed.
-Murph has managed to source 8 street lights, we want to put them up on the Super X track so we can reduce the number of lights we have to hire for the super x events. We will need to dig some trenches for the footing for the lights, they will be put into 44 gallon drums and filled with concrete. They will need to be wired up and connected to the generator.
-We have 13 flood lights and 8 larger floor lights which will need to be installed around the club house and if we can in the pit area and carpark.
-If anyone has access to a 6 wheel tip truck let us know.
-If anyone knows where we can find some concrete road barriers or even some more of the plastic ones that would be an enourmous help.
So even if you can only help for a few hours please come up and give a hand. It would be great if you could let us know your coming so we know we have enough people to do the work. Text Mel 0402219292 or email webmaster@atvwa.com.
QUIT PONY EXPRESS ROUND 3 CANCELLED - Updated 15/10/2012
We are sorry to say it, but unfortunately because we have lost so many volunteers to working away jobs and we haven't had any new volunteers put their hands up, we just don't have the people to prepare and run the Quit Pony Express Round 3. It was a tough decission to make but we have also been worrying about ahving enough time to get everthing ready for the Super X season that will be starting soon.
QUIT PONY EXPRESS ROUND 2 - Updated 10/09/2012

QUIT POKER RUN FAMILY & SOCIAL EVENT - Updated 28/07/2012
Well it has come around very quickly and now only 1 week to go till our Quit Poker Run Event.
For those that didn't come last year, this event is all about having a bit of fun. We have lots of family memberships in the club so we hope that our families will come down and enjoy a casual & social riding event.
"What's a Poker Run?" I hear you say... Well... we open up a section of the track at a time so you can do a lap to collect a playing card. The tracks involved will be: the North Pony, South Pony, MX Track & SuperX Track.... Then you'll have to get one of the kids to get you a card from the kids track. At the end of the day the Person who has the best Poker Hand will be the Winner. That's the fun of it... the prize is won purely by chance so anyone can win it.
Remember this event is for adults and kids, so there will be no racing this will be a casual ride of the tracks. Kids on 50cc & 90cc will only be allowed to ride on the kids track, the MX track and the Super X Track (They'll need one of their parents to do an extra lap of the pony tracks to get their last cards. The older kids can go out on the Pony track with their Parents supervision.
Guess what.... The whole track will be prepped for this event... yes that means the Ponies, the MX and the SuperX Track. It costs the club a fortune to do the whole track so we hope all the families will support us in this event by coming along so we can afford to hold more of these event for the casual and family riders. The numbers we get to this event will determine how many are put on the calendar for next year.
We hope to see all the faces that came to the Quit Kids on Quads Fun Day & Campout again. And Yes Troy will do another Rocket Launch for the Kids.
Check Out the Events page for more details for the Quit Poker Run.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT - Updated 07/06/2012
Hello everybody,
The ATVWA Committee met on Wednesday night and discussed the at length the decision to no longer allow riders under the age of 16 yrs to ride bike bigger than either a 2 stroke 200cc or 4 stroke 300cc during club race events.
Events such as Pony Express, Juniors (16 yrs & younger) are not able to ride open class bikes i.e 450cc + even with Parental Consent & Indemnity waivers.
We, the Committee have sought extensive legal advice on this issue and believe that the outcome of a serious accident may jeopardise the club, its Committee & its members and unfortunately the risk is too costly.
Whilst we appreciate that previous Pony Express’s have included Juniors riding out of class we are taking a firm stand on this issue and hope that our Juniors & Parents understand and support this decision. We at ATVWA are promoting a safe environment for our children and building a bigger & better ATVWA for our members.
Kind Regards
Damion Millar
President
ATVWA Social & Racing Club
CHANGES TO PONY EXPRESS TIMES - Updated 07/06/2012
The committee yesterday decided to keep the Pony express as a 4 hour event as per previous years to provide a challenge for the experienced riders. However we will be removing the DNF rule allowing riders to finish before 4 house and still being elegible for a place. We have also brought the start time for prologue to 9:00 and registrations from 7:00, gates opening at 6:00am.
REMINDER TO MEMBERS - Updated 07/06/2012
A reminder to members and event participants that there should only be walking pace riding in the carpark & driveway area to get to the track. Our track manager is very grumpy because he has seen burnout marks in the carpark and driveway and it has been chopped up considerably. Grading the driveway when our track manager has the machinery up at the track only limits the amount of time he can spend on the track prep. Inappropriate riding causes the bull dust that we have seen previously in the carpark area and your help in reducing this would be kindly appreciated. If you see another member breaking the rules at the track please report them to one of the committee. Breaking rules and especially bringing up non members to ride will result in membership suspension. We have day memberships avaliable to please use this option if you want to bring a mate. We have many hidden security camera's at the track so offenders will be caught and dealt with accordingly.
QUIT PONY EXPRESS SUNDAY 17TH JUNE 2012 - Updated 04/06/2012
It's that time of year again and we are hosting our first Quit Pony Express for 2012. The committee are still undecided if we should run the event as a 3 hour or 4 hour enduro so please vote on our poll on the forum to help us decide. For those new members who have never done a pony before or don't know what it is; it's an enduro event held on our sandy endurance track in woodridge, the event can be entered as an individual or in teams. The person/team in each class that has the most laps wins for that class. If you want to enter but dont have a partner we can help, please email Mel & we will set you up with someone of similar riding ability. For more information and to register please check out the events page. If you want to be a sweep for the day please contact us.
QUIT FAMILY WEEKEND - Updated 04/06/2012
The Quit family weekend comprised of the Quit kids on quads fun day and campout and a riding and bike setup tips on Sunday. What a success and so much fun! We only had a few cancellations and we had 15 kids participate in the event. We had the mini pony express of the kids track... welldone to the kids who punched their card many many times! We had the new little obstacle course that Michael Murphy put in for us, pitty the mud in the mud pit dried up but the kids had fun going over the copper logs and around the tires, testing ou their skills, afterwards they went for a ride of the super X track with their parents. We also had the treasure hunt where the kids went out in teams to find 5 clues to where the treasure was hidden. They had to look for Bart Simpson, a big red bird, a duck in a pond, blue tree and an australian flag. There were lots of goodies in each chest including a t-shirt, lollies, stickers for their bikes, bubbles glow stick etc. Also in each box was a piece to a puzzle they woul solve later. After the rounds of events had finished all the kids gathered around for the rocket launch, it was great and the rocket went so far the grown-ups had to do a treasure hunt of their own, we set it off one more time then started dinner. After dinner we set the campfire and had toasted marshmallows and a raffle for the kids with prizes. The bigger boys kept us warm all night collecting firewood. When the kids went to bed the adults all stayed around the campfire having a good chat. Everyone got along so well and we were happy to see some new faces, even the grand parents came along. In the morning after bacon and egg burgers and pancakes we got the kids together to put their peieces of the puzzle together to find out who stole the last treature. They finally figured it out.... It was a picture of Troy on his motorized esky. They then ran around to catch him and the treasure inside the esky. We said goodbye to some of the kids then prepared for some riding and bike setup tips. Thankyou to Mike Alfrey, Tom Stevens and Don Peterson for giving us some much needed tips. I personally got a lot out of the tips Tom gave whilst showing us all some techniques on positioning whilst taking corners. They gave excellent advice and all that attended said they learned alot. Afterwards they all went for a ride of the pony to get some practice in before the Pony on the 17th June. I want to send out a big thankyou to healthway for sponsoring the event, to Michael Murphy fopr prepping the tracks, to Dave Stevens for dropping off the buns & organising the fire permits and the water tank filling, to Damion Millar for coming up on Saturday to fix the water pump, To Mike Alfrey, Tome Stevens, Don & Dave Peterson for donating their time to give tips on sunday, to Troy & Bill Cox for orgaising and running the day & all the parents and granparents that helped on the day. Fantastic effort from everyone! Hope we can get another event like this again in spring, email Mel to register you interest in holding another event in spring or to be on the email list for future events. Also check out the photo album for photos from the weekend.
BUNNINGS SAUSSAGE SIZZLE - Updated 04/06/2012

QUIT FAMILY WEEKEND - Updated 21/05/2012
Well it is looking like being a perfect weekend this weekend. The forcast is for 22 degrees clear and sunny, perfect weather for camping. We have lots of kids coming, the track is prepped and we have some great activities planned. Don't forget it can get very cold at night at the track so bring adequate clothing and bedding and also bring a torch. There will be yummy healthy food at the canteen too. If you have a late registration, I have had some extra t-shirts made in case, but you have to let me know asap, please don't show up on the day without letting me know as I wont have catered for you. Dont forget about the bike setup and riding tips on Sunday, we have Tom Stevens a national title winner, Mike alfrey an experienced rider and Quad Mechanic and Don Peterson an experienced young rider coming along to give out tips in the morning followed by some group casual riding of the pony express track. Good training for those who will be new to the ponies. You can still register for the Sunday.
BUSY BEE OUTCOME - Updated 21/05/2012
We would like to thank the committe members that came to the busy bee on the weekend, there was a lot to do and we managed to mark most of the items off the list. Michael Murphy and Lee prepped the superx track best they could for now without bringing in more dirt, looks good just a few puddles, but thats perfect for the kids this weekend. They also ran a blade over the motorcross track to tidy it up for the kids. We had a last minute track addition (those of you coming on the weekend will find out), Thanks to Murph who entertained my crazy ideas. Troy & Bill Cox put up all the signage for our sponsorship with Healthway. Dave and Clive worked wonders installing new gutters whilst Damo & Craig fixed all the plumbing and moved the watertanks to their new locations and connected them. Wayne & Matt Wynne were busy chopping and piling up the wood for the new fire pit whilst Paul MacArthur built a shelter to keep the fire wood dry. Also thanks to members Archie & son Zac for coming to put in some effort. It's hard work but rewarding to see the club improve and spend time with great people. Welldone everyone and we hope to see even more new faces next time :)

We encourage members to come along and meet other families with quads, the kids have an absolute blast riding with their buddies and making new friends.
Sunday will be a great oportunity for those new members to come and have a ride of the pony track with some experienced riders in preparation for the Pony Express. It's also a good oportunity to find a partner to ride with. Our experienced riders will be giving some tips on bike setup and riding techniques and strategy. We hope to see you there. For more information about the events visit the events page or call or email Mel 0402219292. Please register and provide your kids t-shirt sizes to Mel ASAP.
BUSY BEE - Updated 16/05/2012
This Sunday we are holding a busy bee up at the track to get ready for winter and to do some repairs and maintainence. Some of the things we need to do Are:
- Fit gutters to club house and plumb them to water tanks.
- Build fire pit – either lime stone blocks or possibly a large concrete soak well half dug into the ground. (if we can source a concrete soakwell… anyone got any ideas on finding one for free?)
- Cut fire wood / stack fire wood.
- Lay yellow sand in front of shed in car park ready for lawn.
- Build shutters for canteen & bar.
- General tidying up and mainainance.
- Hang Sponsorship signs
If you would be willing to come up on the Sunday to help us out we would be very grateful. Remember this is your club, any improvements made will benefit you and make the club better for the members and their families.
We are also looking for some stuff and are wondering if any members know where we can get it for free/very cheap/ or as part of a sponsorship arrangement:
- Solar Hot water system
- Concrete soakwell for fire pit.
- Generators.
- Sea containers
- Concrete or steel drainage pipes.
- Shower tray’s (we want to build a shower block in the coming months, so any assistance with this would be excellent).
We are also looking for any members who might have access to machinery, or the ability to operate machinery to help us out. Currently Michael Murphy donates his own time and machinery to prep the track once per month before events. If anyone is willing to help or knows someone who might be able to help with track prep for general riding we would appreciate it. It is a very large task to ask any one person to do so it would be great if we could have several people that might come up once or twice a year with machines to do a bit of work and share the load around a bit.
If you can make it on Sunday could you please let one of the committe know. If you have a welder or can make some steel frames for some shutters to secure the Canteen & bar area let us know also.
SUNDOWN SUPER X ROUND 4 - Updated 03/05/2012
Well what a weekend! Dead on 3:30pm with a very dry dam some of the committee were doing a little rain dance to save the event from becoming a dust bowl. Then in the nick of time the sky opened up and and it rained, and rained and rained... In fact after a while I think everyone was praying for it to stop. But stop in didn't and we carried on anyway. It was muddy and wet, but it was also a lot of fun and a very clear sign that the summer is over and the winter is here to stay bringing with it soon, our winter events. Congratulations to those who placed. It has been a great first season of the ATVWA Sundown Super X, we have managed to iron out the creases in a very shor time and turn this event which in dec 2011 was just a thought in our track manager Michael Murphy's head into the real deal. We would like to thank everyone that has participated in the construction of the track and new facilities and the massive effort that goes into planning an event like this. We hope that all the participants, members and spectators had fun and we'll see you at our next event to kick of the winter. For the results please visit the results page.
JESSICA'S TRACK TOUR - Updated 27/03/2012
Thankyou to Jessica our Healthways sponsorship officer for coming and checking out the track on Saturday. Roy took her for a "tour" of the tracks in his UTV razor before the event. Let's just say she left covered in mud, dust and full of adrenaline. She later said "I now have a new love for fast moving vehicles".

To discribe the phenominal effort put in by the committee (and helpers) over the last few weeks is impossible. We've had people virtually living there to get this track ready for the new Sundown SuperX event. We cant thank everyone involved enough! What a pleasant suprise when Luke Gaisford (Australian National Quad Champion) and crew poped in to check the new track out today. He couldn't help but get his bike unloaded to give it a trial run! I asked what he though the new Sunsown Superx event would be like? "Really good, It's technical and hard you have to really think to get around the track." Check out his video interview. Check out some photo's of his trial run around the new Superx Track go to the PHOTO ALBUM or CLICK HERE.

TRACK WORK UPDATE - Updated 22/12/2011
Wow, it's been awesome to see how far the club and has come over the past couple of months. Everyone is pitching in to kick start the new year and what at awesome year we have planned for you! We have to extend a big THANKYOU to Michael Murphy and his boys from Controlled Civil & Demolition for generously donating their time and resources to building the new track extension, clearing away all the rubbish, grading the track, including revitalizing the old speedway track, taking down the old kitchen and preparing the ground for the new Shed. Partner in crime John Iuliano and his boys from Street Image (Liquid Limestone) have also generously donated their time to pour the slab for the new shed where we will have a new kitchen and bar, and also pouring a concrete floor for the old first aid building which will now be fully operational. Without these vital services the club would not have these new facilities and upgrades so we hope that you will support these businesses if you need their services. Most of the committee and other members will be heading up to the track from the 27th December to help build the new shed and anyone who can operate machinery will be working on the new track. So if your free and want to be a part of big changes to the club please show your support during this time. Check out the Photo Album or CLICK HERE to see photos of the work in progress. Check back regularly as we will be updating this website with all the latest information.

2011 Pony Express Overall Series Outcome - Updated 26/09/2011
Despite a lot of challenges for the committee this year it has been a great season. Committee members and volunteers have come together to put on these events for the benefit of all members and the Quad Bike community. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make this years events possible, and look forward to another bumper season in 2012.
Now to the results for the Season, having only come to 2 of the 3 series Barry Noy with Skill and Style took out the Ironman series with an outstanding 26 laps. Pro A's John/Hayden Iuliano & Shawn Ragno won by 6:08 with 27 Laps. Lee Lough & Matt Deluca with 35 laps took the series win for Pro B's. Troy Cox & Jimmy O'Regan with 35 laps were champs for Clubman. Also with 35 laps were Paul Zuchetti & Martin Bower in Vets. And dont forget our blasters Brody McDonal & Ryan Bushby sticking it out and making it to the end with a win.
So the final overall all-class winner comming down to minutes were Lee Lough & Matt Deluca followed 8min behind by Troy Cox & Jimmy O'Regan then coming in in third were the Vets proving your never too old... Paul Zuchetti & Martin Bower trailing only by 4:40.
2011 Pony Express Series Race 3 - updated 26/09/2011
Wow, what a way to finish off the ATVWA Pony Express Series. We had an excellent turn out with 47 riders for the day. We were also fortunate to have had no injuries or serious crashes.
In Ironman Barry Noy led the Pack with the fastest lap time of 14:35. A big effort from Lisa Stanborough who kept up with the boys and completed an impressive 11 laps, whilst also stopping to help one of the blasters who had come off his bike (don't worry he's fine). Lisa came a close third behind Paul Eade.
Pro A's battled it out neck and neck until the very last lap where Graham Cockman & Matthew Mackay, with minutes to spare, got in that extra lap, for a total of 16, and winning them 1st place. Following them in second were Shawn Ragno & youngster Hayden Iuliano who stepped in for his dad John Iuliano who was on the Australian Safari, a gallant effort by the youngster to compete and place with the big boys. Coming in only 4:47 behind were Daniel Stanborough & Cody Brown.
Pro B's were also fighting to the finish line with 4 out of the 6 teams finishing on 15 Laps. There was only 11 sec between the winners Paul Foppoli & Carmello Giovenco and second place Stewart Lovie & Chris Sloot. Followed very closely by Gareth Wilmhurst & Adam Walsh.
President James O'Regan and team mate Troy Cox took out first place in Clubman with 14 laps under their belt. They were followed by Craig Stanborough & James Edgar and then closely by Father/Daughter team Darren Bushby & Lauren Bushby.
Derreck Griffiths & Dave Hawley were first for the round in Vets with 15 laps, followed by the persistent and determined Paul Zuchetti & Martin Bower. Not far behind them were Graham McKinlay & Paul Hutchison in third.
The young blasters were at each other all day coming past the timing gate within seconds of each other, unfortunately with a 2 min penalty for jumping the gun Jett & Colt Cockman lost some crucial time giving Brody McDonal & Ryan Bushby first place.
Overall It was a great day and a great way to end the series for 2011. Hope we'll see you all (and more) back next year for another great season.
You can check out more results by going to the results page and some photos of the event by going to the photo album.
Pinjar off road vehicle project
A representative from the RTRA contacted one of our committee member last week to show us around the Pinjar off road area and to let us know about the future plans to develop the area into a "Pilot off-road project" for off-road bikes. The RTRA in conjuction with the DEC are building a safe track for all riders. Their plan includes a kids track, a family track, dedicated Quad motocross and general riding track, along with dedicated two wheel areas. One of our committee members was contacted for input on how the Quad bike community rides and what kinds of track we would enjoy. If you would like more information click here.
Poker Run
Thanks to all the participants in our first "Poker Run" event. A better turn out would have been nice if it wasn't for the rain. But we all had fun and will definately run the event again in the future.
Committee Meetings
The committe has set a monthly meeting time for the ATVWA social and racing club. Should you wish to become a committee member, help out or have a say the meeting will be held: 7pm on the first Wednesday evening of each month at the Wanneroo Social and Sports Club Crisafulli ave Wanneroo.
New Committee
The new ATVWA committee thanks Bill Case for the time and effort put into the club for the first half of the year. We also wish to welcome our new President James O'Regan and other new members to the committee and thank them for committing to the successful running of the club.
